Bursledon BrickworksA museum and conservation centre based in a former brickworks dating from 1897, The Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust Ltd operates the site which features displays covering the history of the brickworks, traditional building materials and conservation practice. The original stationary steam engine, powering the pugmill, has been restored to working order and operates on open days. Staffed largely by volunteers, the Museum contains a wide range of exhibits, ranging from transport-based collections, such as the Southdown bus collection & the village garage, to industry-based collections, such as the Print Workshop & Wheelwrights.
