Work Days and Open Days
at Bursledon Brickworks
Work Days provide an opportunity to do some volunteer work on the site
when the Museum is not open to the public. On Open Days the Museum is
open to the public, but volunteers are still very welcome. The Museum
is open between 10.00am and 4.00pm on these days, but volunteers may wish
to arrive beforehand. Admission is free for Brickworks and affiliated
society members; on Open Days there is a small charge for visitors who
are not volunteers. (Please note that Open Days marked **
on the Diary page are specialist events, by invitation only - but HNGRT
volunteers are also needed on these days).
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us beforehand at volunteers@hngrs.org.uk.
"Pet" and "Bramble",
the Society's two petrol locomotives, are both housed at Bursledon Brickworks.
To find out more about the Museum, visit the Bursledon
Brickworks page at the Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust website.
